Monett Main Street wants to help you get started with your downtown business. To do so, we’ve created a variety of programs, incentives and services to help you receive the right training and easily find and use our community’s available resources.

Our Programs

• Leadership Monett – A program of the Monett Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Monett enhances the foundation for great business and community leaders with targeted and specialized training in an affordable and accessible manner. This series of structured workshops is structured to teach leadership best practices over the course of a few months, while showing a broad appreciation of the unique quality of life that is the city of Monett and its surrounding Barry – Lawrence County areas. • Façade Renovation Grant – Local businesses have been able to receive up to $1,500 in available funds to improve the exterior of their building and the surrounding property as part of the matching grant program. To date Monett Main Street has awarded eight grants to local business owners, resulting in a $30,000 investment in the downtown area, which have helped to renew the character and heart of our city.
• Monett Community Development Corporation – Businesses looking to relocate or open in Downtown Monett have to option to receive gap financing at below market rates from the Monett CDC. Click here for more information on the Monett CDC.

• Business advising – The Monett Main Street Board of Directors are available to help with business decisions and any advice needed for small business owners or community members wanting to find the best way to utilize Downtown resources.  Contact any one of our Board Members today.
